About District
Araria district is
one among the thirty-eight districts of Bihar states, India, and Araria towns
is that the administratives headquarter of this districts. Araria districts may
be a a part of Purnea division. The district occupies a neighborhood of 2830 sq
km. it's a view of Mount Kanchenjunga(Nepal) (One of the good peaks of the
Himalyan home in nepal). This districts has total 2 sub-divisions namely Araria
and Forbesganj and 9 blocks. Araria sub-division comprises six blocks: Araria,
Jokihat, Kursakanta, Raniganj, Sikti and Palasi and Forbesganj sub-division
comprises three blocks: Forbesganj, Narpatganj and Bhargama. There are six
Vidhan Sabha constituencies during this districts: Narpatganj, Raniganj(SC),
Forbesganj, Araria, Jokihat and Sikti. All of theses are parts of Araria Lok
Sabha constituency.
Origin of Name
During British
period, the world wheres Mr. Forbes’s bungalow was located was called
“Residential Area”, which individuals abbreviated to R. Area. Over time, R.
Area. acquired the pronunciation araria.
History
The territory of
present-day district became Araria sub-division of the earstwhile Purnea
district in 1964. Araria district was formed in January 1990 together of the
executive districts of Bihar under Purnea division.
Geography
Araria district
occupies a neighborhood of 2830 sq km. the main rivers of the district are
Kosi, Suwara, Kali, Parmar and Koli.
Economy
Economy of araria
district mainly depends on agriculture. Main agricultural produces of this
district are paddy, maize and jute.

According to the 2011
census Araria district features a population of 28,11,569. The district
features a population density of 993 inhabitants per square kilometre. Its
increase rate over the last decade 2001-2011 was half-hour . Araria features a
sex ratio of 921 females for each 1000 males and a literacy rate of 53.53%.

Bio-Diversity Park Kusiargaon
:- Bihar’s first
biodiversity park is prepared in Kusiargaon of Araria. Where it creates a path
for researchers. At an equivalent time, the park is additionally promoting
tourisms. The park isn't ready to shake the sights of these who come from
distant thanks to being at NH-57 at a distance of just 10 kilometer from the
district headquarter.
Raniganj Vriksh Vatika
:-‘Raniganj Vriksh
Vatika’ is found 30 km west of Araria District Headquarters of Bihar State.
it's situated at a distance of 25 km from the side of S.H. 77, which is 310 km
north-east of Patna and forbesganj four-lane (NH 57) to South Kursela.
This site is that the
forest land notified by the Bihar government. The ‘Raniganj Vriksh Vatika’ area
was formerly referred to as Hasanpur Balu Dhima. This area cover 289 acres has
been developed as a natural forest area. Its changed nature has been given
attractive look as per the requirements of tourists.
At present, ‘Raniganj
Vriksh Vatika’ may be a very scenic, picturesque tourist spot of Bihar State,
ideal place for nature and health lovers and as an area of study for
researchers.
